Keith Haring 'Radiant Baby' 1990 |
I remember my meeting with Keith Haring Art I was around 17 years old it was a revelation for me. A friend send me a card from England I think I still have in a box and we are almost 20 years after but I prefer not to rely!
Simple graphism strongest design, full of color and funny THE real pop art!
Keit Haring was a visual graphism definition for me.
Author of a dozen books, he wrote:
"My contribution to the world is my ability to draw. I want to draw as much as I can for as many people as I can, and as long as I can. "
In the early 1980s, Keith Haring dreamed of a popular art accessible to all. Its funny characters with simple shapes began to invade the halls of the New York subway. The art took to the streets, and everyone could take ownership. Later, they found the work of Keith Haring, in galleries, of course, but also on postcards, badges, t-shirts ... A work fun and colorful, full of energy, irony, inventiveness and joy, "wrote Nicolas Martin, Keith Haring in his book, and art to the streets!, Published in 2005.
Today The Google Doodle honors the artist Keith Haring to celebrates
his 54th anniversary, famous for having started drawing in the subway.
